This is your site for pods and dried, decorative botanicals for your gourd art. They add a very natural look to any gourd rim. Some of the pods would lend themselves to wings, or legs, for any gourd creature. These botanicals are also great in wreaths and other art projects. Most are sold in small quantities, but larger amounts (4 oz, 8 oz, pounds) are available at a wholesale price. Contact me for a price list.

This is an example of how pods can be painted to change their appearance. This gourd has a crackle finish over multi-colors of acrylic, with a bronze gel medium coating. Finish is nautical varnish. The hedge apple slices have been painted. The rim is QuikWood surrounded by a length of seagrass. Both take paint and crackle well. |
